As the founder and CEO of appssavvy, Chris Cunningham is at the forefront of social media and the applications that provide relevant marketing opportunities for consumers and advertisers whether they are on Facebook, MySpace, other social networks or the iPhone.
Since appssavvy's founding in early 2008, Chris has focused on creating a great company by bridging the gap between developers and publishers of social media applications, such as LivingSocial, Flixster and Zynga, and the advertiser and agency community. Within the first year of business, appssavvy has delivered more than 75 campaigns involving brands including adidas, ChapStick, Kimberly-Clark, Lexus, Oakley, Purina and Sony Pictures, among dozens of others.
Prior to appssavvy, Chris was global vice president of sales at Freewebs. In addition, he was vice president of sales at Bolt Media and director of sales for Digital Music Network and Music Vision where he pioneered the sales strategy for marketing online digital music platforms and built solid relationships with leading advertisers.
In addition, Chris is responsible for establishing the company's position within the social media landscape and has been a frequent speaker on social media topics at a number of industry events, including Graphing Social, SWAT Summit, Digital Hollywood's Building Blocks, Social Ad Summit, Web 2.0 Expo, MIXX Expo, ad:tech New York and iMedia Events. Previously, Chris was a driving force behind the highly successful first annual Widget Con in 2007. Chris is also a frequent contributing author to MediaPost and iMediaConnection.
Chris graduated from the University of North Carolina Greensboro with a bachelor's of arts degree in Economics & Marketing and is now based in New York City.
