Celebrity Chef, Restaurateur, Executive Chef, and Television Personality Best Known for Food Network's "Chopped"

Chris Santos is a celebrity chef, restaurateur, Executive Chef, and television personality who graduated with honors from the prestigious Johnson & Wales University. After graduation, Chef Santos took his next steps in his culinary career by traveling throughout Europe, visiting more than forty European cities and exposing himself to all of the different types of tastes, techniques, and cooking styles there are out there. Following his return to the United States, Chris continued his training in New York City working in restaurants including Cranebook Restaurant and Tearoom, Rue 57, Wyanoka, The Mexican Sanwich Company, and the award winning restaurant Suba. In 2005, Chef Santos opened his first restaurant, The Stanton Social in New York City’s Lower East Side, which featured multi-cultural cuisine from his travels throughout Europe. The restaurant received rave reviews from The New York Times, New York Magazine, and Time Out New York. Santos opened his second restaurant, Beauty & Essex, in 2010 which only brought Chef Chris more success and recognition for his culinary expertise.

Celebrity Chef Chris Santos makes regular appearances as a guest judge on Food Network’s hit reality cooking series, Chopped. On the show, Chef Chris joins a team of frequent celebrity chef guest judges in deciding the fate of the contestants; such chefs include Iron Chef Alex Guarnaschelli, Geoffrey Zakarian, Marc Murphy, Amanda Freitag, Aaron Sanchez, Scott Conant, Marcus Samuelsson, and Maneet Chauhan. Chef Santos has also made appearances on television programs including The Best Thing I Ever Ate, The Martha Stewart Show, ABC’s Rachael Ray Show, CBS The Early Show, and NBC’s Today Show.
