Chrissie Wellington is a speaker, author, and World Champion Ironman Triathlete who took a unique pathway to professional sport. Growing up, she never excelled at sports. She traveled the world for two years, gained a master's degree, and worked as a policy advisor on international development for the UK government, lived and worked in Nepal, and only became a professional triathlete at age 30—having discovered a talent she never knew she had. Within five years, Wellington became a four-time Ironman World Champion and set multiple world records in the process.
