In nearly two decades working as a reporter for The Washington Post, Christian Davenport has covered a range of topics within politics and science. His work has earned several Peabody awards, and has also been considered for a Pulitzer Prize.

Davenport currently covers space and defense industries for the paper’s financial desk, and has authored two books—As You Were: To War and Back with the Black Hawk Battalion of the Virginia National Guard and The Space Barons: Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos and the Quest to Colonize the Cosmos.

Before joining the Post, Davenport has worked as a reporter at Newsday, the Philadelphia Inquirer, and the Austin American-Statesman. He graduated from Colby College, and lives in Washington D.C. with his wife and children.
