The owner and chairman of global fashion brand hummel International, Christian is also owner or part owner of real estate, shipping, technology and food businesses.

Christian sits on various boards, including trade organization Danish Fashion & Textile and Smartguy, the largest Danish online fashion retailer. He is and was a member of a number of think tanks, from the global culture forum Co-existence of Civilizations (which he co-founded following the Muhammad cartoon crisis), to the High Performance Institute, Creative Nation and the International Think Tank for the branding of Denmark. He was also on various judging panels at the COP15 climate summit.

Christian won the Global Style award by GQ in 2007; the most prestigious marketing award in Dennmark, the HBH/Copenhagen Business School Marketing Award in 2005; and the Junior Chamber International Most Outstanding Young Person of the Year award, 2005.

He lectures around the world on his company philosophy “Company Karma”, also the title of his book (co-authored with Sten Hildebrandt, leadership guru). His company hummel has founded football schools in Sierra Leone, and sponsors the national team, who are trainers and role models.
