Actor Best Known for Hulu's "Catch-22," "Sanctuary" & "Kraven the Hunter"

Christopher Jacob Abbott is an American actor known for his work in independent films. In 2011, Abbott made his feature film debut in Martha Marcy May Marlene and his Broadway debut in the revival of the play The House of Blue Leaves.

Abbott received a nomination for the Independent Spirit Award for Best Male Lead for the drama film James White. He also portrayed astronaut David Scott in the biographical drama film First Man. Abbott took supporting roles in the films A Most Violent Year, It Comes at Night, Piercing, Possessor, On the Count of Three, and Sanctuary. In 2023, he starred in Kraven the Hunter alongside Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Russell Crowe.

Abbott also portrayed John Yossarian in the Hulu miniseries "Catch-22," for which he earned a Golden Globe Award nomination. He also acted in the HBO series "Girls," the USA Network series "The Sinner," and the Apple TV+ series "The Crowded Room."
