Executive Director at The National Foundation on Fitness, Sports and Nutrition

Christopher Watts leads Strategic Partnerships and Special Projects for the President’s Council on Fitness, Sports and Nutrition. The Council is appointed by the President of the United States to advise the Administration and the country on ways to engage, educate, and empower all Americans to adopt a healthy lifestyle and has been a key partner in the First Lady’s Let's Move! initiative. In his role at the Council, Mr. Watts has directed numerous programs and events, facilitating the strategy and execution of cross-sector partnerships with hundreds of national stakeholders.

Mr. Watts has been named a World Economic Forum Global Shaper in the Washington, D.C. Hub and consults on various international development and diplomatic projects that leverage sports as a catalyst for positive economic and social impact. Experiences include U.S.-Brazil relations for the 2014 FIFA World Cup and Rio 2016 Summer Olympic Games, and with George Washington University, the cultural and educational responsibility of Major League Baseball in the Dominican Republic and CSR efforts of FIFA and their sponsors for the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.

Additionally, Mr. Watts serves as an Advisor to the Global Impact Institute, a non-profit organization founded by Howard W. Buffett that advocates for a more informed, inclusive, accountable, and effective approach for accomplishing greater global impact by advancing the principles of Social Value Investing. Their first meeting convened 150 global leaders in business, government, philanthropy, education, culture, and sport at the House of Commons in London the day before the opening ceremonies of the London 2012 Summer Olympic Games.

Prior to his work at the President’s Council, Mr. Watts was an Analyst at Kimley-Horn and Associates, where as a licensed Engineer In Training (EIT) he focused on transportation and sustainability design. Proudly from Pittsburgh, Mr. Watts was a four-year starter and Captain of the Men's Varsity Soccer team at Carnegie Mellon University.

Mr. Watts earned his MBA from George Washington University and BS from Carnegie Mellon University.
