Claire Tramm

CEO and Co-Founder,Effortless Energy

I am the CEO and Co-Founder of Effortless Energy, a residential energy services company whose mission is to make home energy efficiency the no-brainer it ought to be. Before this, I led Demand-Side Management Business Development for BlueStar Energy, which was successfully acquired by AEP Energy in 2012. While working at McKinsey and Company, I helped businesses, governments and NGOs with strategic, operational, and policy challenges and also contributed to several of McKinsey’s public reports on carbon and energy efficiency economics. During my year as a McKinsey Civic Fellow, I led implementation of the Chicago Climate Action Plan and Chicago’s green jobs program during the last year of Mayor Daley's reign. I also helped lead the turnaround of the City Colleges of Chicago under both Mayors Daley and Emmanuel. I received a B.S. in Cognitive Science, a B.S. in Psychology, a B.A. in Political Science, and a Liberal Arts and Management certificate from Indiana University. I am currently finishing my Masters of Public Policy at the University of Chicago and am also the co-founder of the Center for Impact Measurement there. I grew up and currently live in Chicago but consider Jackson Hole, Wyoming my second home.
