AI Technology Strategist & Executive Chair

Clara Durodié is a Fintech strategist specialized in applied artificial intelligence (AI) in financial services. Formerly, Durodié served in leadership roles in European asset and wealth management in the UK, Switzerland, and Luxembourg.

She works with Board of Directors, academia and AI start-ups. Her focus is the strategic adoption of AI for profitability in financial services. As well, she mentors AI startups on funding and growth strategy.

Durodié is an internationally recognized name in applied AI in financial services. She advises Boards of financial institutions, leading think-tanks and Governments. More recently, she was invited to advise the World Economic Forum’s 4th Industrial Revolution Centre in San Francisco (US), the All Parliamentary Party Group for Artificial Intelligence (UK) and Ministry of Finance’s special commission on Artificial Intelligence (Japan).

Her work has been named in two main global lists of Fintech experts: The Powerlist Women in Fintech produced by Innovate UK and in the definite list of Top 100 Women in Fintech produced by the leading research Lattice80. Durodié is the Chair of the Non-Executive Directors onBoard’s special committee on Best Practice for AI adoption (UK) and a member of IEEE Global Initiative on Ethics of Autonomous and Intelligent Systems (USA).

She has a strong record of speaking engagements at prestigious Fintech and AI conferences: SIBOS (Canada), Money 2020 (Europe & Singapore), Intersekt (Australia), Fin/Sum and Reg/Sum (Japan), AI World Boston (USA), Finovate Europe (UK), Innovate Finance Global Summit (UK) and Fund Forum International, Berlin (Europe).

In April 2018, Durodié was invited to deliver the ‘AI module’ for the University of Oxford’s highly acclaimed Fintech course which is delivered by MIT and Oxford professors. She was also invited to contribute with expert opinion in The Roubini Report which is considered the center-piece research in asset and wealth management.

Before establishing Cognitive Finance Group an AI advisory, Clara had started scoping the research for her Ph.D. which sits at the intersection of neuroscience, artificial intelligence and asset management. Her focus is on how episodic memory informs how people save and invest.She is a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (UK) has a Certificate in Investment Management (UK) and holds a Master’s degree from the University of Oxford.
