Closure in Moscow

Closure in Moscow are an Australian progressive rock band that formed in Melbourne, Victoria in 2006.

The group is currently composed of guitarist-singer Mansur Zennelli, lead guitarist Michael Barrett, drummer Salvatore Aidone, bass player Duncan Millar and lead singer Christopher de Cinque.

To date they have released an extended play, one full length studio album and a new digital single to critical praise – The Penance and the Patience (2008), First Temple (2009) and The Impeccable Beast (2012). The band have reached notable success throughout the international rock circuit for their stellar live performances and avant garde sound.

Closure in Moscow set fire to the Australian and international alternative scene in 2009 and 2010 with huge triple j rotation of Sweet#hart, electrifying sets at Warped Tour, SXSW, Homebake, and a slew of US tours and festivals.

Their music has since spread far and wide to create diehard fans on all corners of the globe, from home in Australia to Japan, and right across the USA and Europe/UK.

Having supported the likes of Coheed and Cambria, Saosin, The Getaway Plan, Silverstein and many more, debut album “First Temple” followed the success of their EP, delivering inventive, focused energy, and sonics that translated to an audience hungry for bold, experimental tunes that they could still sing, dance and party along to.

In 2011 the band returned to Australian shores with an incredible new rhythm section and the creative expression of genuine front man Christopher de Cinque on fire! The momentum didn’t stop with the band signing new management to TEAM TRICK and then they were picked up by NEW WORLD ARTISTS for live bookings.

Having recently toured UK and Europe to sold out club shows, toured Australia with Dead Letter Circus, My Chemical Romance, Gyroscope, delighted club nights, and wowed all-ages shows, Closure in Moscow power through a set filled with radio tracks, face-melting musicianship and huge sing-a-longs, and are not to be missed. The band are currently busy writing their second album (due for release in 2013) and are looking forward to sharing the new sonic vibrations.
