Cohen Bradley
Storyteller & Indigenous Tourism Professional
Cohen Bradley is a tourism, Indigenous communications and branding professional with over fifteen years of experience in both Haida Gwaii tourism and provincial destination development. As a proud member of the Haida Nation, Bradley has cultivated a unique blend of culture and interpretation, in roles such as a traditional performer, emcee, writer, and Indigenous guide.
Bradley’s passion for storytelling in its many forms was ignited during his childhood spent in the Potlatch house. The rich traditions and practices of his ancestors have served as a guiding force throughout his career, propelling him to work towards the restoration of traditional practices within a modern context. From the esteemed Kayahl Laanas clan of the Haida Nation, Bradley holds the name Taaydal, which aptly translates to “coming in big.” This name embodies his commitment to making a significant impact in his endeavors, whether it’s fostering cultural exchange, sharing captivating narratives, or bridging the gap between heritage and contemporary tourism.
Together, Bradley believes that we can redefine the meaning of Canada to be something everyone can celebrate. On this path towards Reconciliation, he recognizes the importance of the true history that our country has yet to fully comprehend. Bradley believes that supporting one another in this journey of understanding is the crucial first step. Indigenous tourism businesses have the potential to bridge the gap that often separates our communities, fostering understanding, empathy, and respect.
Bradley brings a wealth of knowledge and a deep appreciation for the cultural heritage of Indigenous peoples. He continues to dedicate his work to preserving and showcasing the richness of traditional practices, enabling others to connect with the profound stories embedded within culture. Bradley’s multifaceted expertise, unwavering passion, and commitment to cultural restoration work to foster understanding in the teams he collaborates with, both big and small.
