Young country singer/songwriter who made the bold move to Nashville in April of 2011 in full time pursuit of her music dreams.

Fans are responding to what they are hearing. Colby Dees social media presence and fast growth is testament to that.

In addition to her busy schedule with her own music career, Colby Dee can be seen in several music videos of other country music artists. Lady Antebellum, Blake Shelton, Rascal Flatts, Brad Paisley, Gloriana, Randy Houser and Kip Moore, to name a few.

Colby Dee has also appeared with Lady Antebellum at the 2011 CMA Awards.

Colby Dee is a member of the Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI), Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI), and with the Musicians on Call program in Nashville. Shes also very proud to be a new voting member of the Country Music Association (CMA).

Colby Dees style has been described as fun, fashionable and classy, and her sound has been described as youthful but mature, powerful and vibrant. Upon meeting her, one will quickly see that Colby Dee has a confident smile that opens hearts and a soul that can fill them.

Who were the artists that were influencing Colby Dee during her formative musical years? She claims a wide variety of artists as her influences ranging from Shania Twain to Christina Aguilera to Michael Jackson. She also cites the pure vocal power of Martina McBride and Carrie Underwood. Growing up listening to a wide variety of musical styles has helped make her the strong vocalist she is today.

Colby Dee has been singing since age 7 with her first performance being at a pro hockey game in front of 7,000 people. At age 12, she was an L.A. Finalist on the only season of American Idol Junior and that same year, she was also an L.A. Finalist the last season of Star Search. Colby Dee performed throughout California with a girls trio that also included a former American Idol Junior and Star Search and she is a seasoned national anthem performer for professional sports events.

Colby Dee was a highly competitive basketball player growing up and played all over the U.S. In high school, she was a part of the program named National Champions in 2007, but 13 years and five concussions later, she decided to hang up those basketball shoe laces and pursue her music full time.

While she is just at the start of her career, people are already responding to the music of the beautiful and relatable songstress. Venue owners and booking agents have been pleasantly surprised with the crowd she draws as a new artist.

Colby Dee is happy that her music has made an impact on peoples lives. She wants people to have those emotions when they hear her sing. I just want them to relate to my songs, and not sit there and wonder what that song was about. I want them to enjoy my music, and go home and talk about the songs and how they related to it in their life somehow.

When asked about being on stage, Colby Dee lights up. Any stage is home. Theres nothing like connecting with your audience while playing live. It never gets old and I want to give them the best Ive got, says Colby Dee.

Most recently, Colby Dee was honored to give an exclusive performance of I Will Fight On during the Susan G. Komen Global Race for the Cure flagship event in Washington, D.C. Colby Dee sang the song for over 50,000 onlookers in front of the iconic Washington Monument. It was so wonderful having Colby Dee join us at this years Global Race for the Cure, said Nancy Brinker, founder and CEO of Susan G. Komen. You could feel the empowerment that Race participants drew from the feeling she put into her song, I Will Fight On.

Next up was Colby Dees performance at the GAC stage during the 2012 CMA Fest. Her show helped to kick off the 2nd Annual Music City Gives Back Charity concert, benefiting the American Red Cross.

Colby Dee is making fans by the day and loves connecting with the public while remaining grateful and humble. She recently enjoyed a packed hometown show at the Cox Capitol Theatre in Macon, GA, where the fans made signs showing their support and adoration for Colby Dee and stayed for hours in hopes of getting photos and an autograph.
