Saturday Night Live Co-Head Writer & Comedian, Co-Anchor of "Weekend Update"

Colin Jost is co-anchor of "Weekend Update" on Saturday Night Live alongside fellow cast member Michael Che. Jost joined the cast as “Weekend Update” co-anchor in 2014 and has been a writer at SNL since 2005, serving as co-head writer for three of those years. He has won three Writers Guild Awards, a Peabody Award and has received multiple Emmy nominations for his writing on SNL.

Jost wrote and starred in the Paramount/Netflix film, Staten Island Summer, based on his days as a lifeguard growing up in NYC. He also had a minor role as Paul in the 2016 romcom feature How to Be Single. Che and Jost also hosted special editions of “Weekend Update” on MSNBC during the 2016 Republican and Democratic national conventions. Jost is a Staten Island native and Harvard.

As a stand-up comedian, Jost has appeared on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon as well as on TBS and HBO. He was selected as a "New Face" at the Montréal Just for Laughs festival in 2009, and has since appeared several times at the Chicago Just for Laughs festival (2011 and 2012) and the Montréal festival (2010 and 2012).

Jost has published three "Shouts and Murmurs" pieces in The New Yorker magazine, in addition to writing for The New York Times Magazine, The Huffington Post, The Staten Island Advance and Radar. Jost wrote the screenplay of and played a minor role in the 2015 comedy film Staten Island Summer.
