Colleen's career spans clinical & healthcare research, engineering, biochemistry, product development, management practices and opportunity analysis. She has held positions as a researcher on master thesis projects at Mount Sinai School of Medicine and Weill Cornell Medical College, NYC, in surgical device design and pre-clinical studies at Covidien Surgical Devices, and tissue engineering research at RPI. She co-founded Vital Vio, Inc. in 2012 to develop innovative light disinfection solutions to reduce the incidence of preventable hospital acquired infections. Colleen has several patents pending and holds a degree in Biomedical Engineering with a minor in Technological Entrepreneurship from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY.
