Philanthropist, Entrepreneur & Women's Health Advocate

Wife of legendary basketball player, Earvin 'Magic' Johnson, Cookie Johnson is a public servant. Johnson serves as Secretary of the Board of Directors for the Magic Johnson Foundation, where she addresses the health, social and educational needs of those residing in underserved communities, and is involved in the development of the Foundation's overall goals, objectives, and programs.

Johnson is also the first spokeswoman for the I Stand with Magic campaign, joining her husband, the Magic Johnson Foundation, and Abbott in their continued fight to end Black HIV/AIDS.

Her other accolades include: serving as the spokesperson for the National Medical Association Immunization Public Service Announcement, being an honorary chairperson for the Children's Defense Fund, playing an instrumental role in establishing the BREATHE Program, and serving as chairman of Prototypes, a program that provides education and care for women and children affected by HIV/AIDS.

In 2016, Johnson published her first book and memoir, Believing in Magic.
