Corby Kummer has made significant strides in the food and nutrition sector, holding key positions in several respected institutions. He currently serves as the executive director of the Food and Society policy program at the Aspen Institute. In addition to this, Kummer is a senior editor of The Atlantic and a senior lecturer at the Tufts Friedman School of Nutrition Science. His educational background includes attending the Loomis-Chafee School and receiving a BA from Yale College.

As an author, Kummer has contributed to the literature on food and beverages with his books "The Joy of Coffee" and "The Pleasures of Slow Food," the latter being the first book in English on the Slow Food movement.
