Corey Casper    

President & CEO at Access to Advanced Health Institute; Former Chief Medical Officer at the Infectious Disease Research Institute

Corey Casper is an accomplished scientific leader with 20 years of experience designing, growing and sustaining internationally-recognized programs in infectious diseases, HIV, cancer and rare diseases. As President and CEO at Access to Advanced Health Institute, Casper is responsible for strategy, financial management and growth, stakeholder relationships and governance of the independent non-profit global health biotech.

Previously, Casper was the Chief Medical Officer at the Infectious Disease Research Institute, where he was in charge of advancing a portfolio of vaccines, immunotherapeutics, and diagnostic tests through the clinical pipeline from pre-clinical to Phase 2 studies. He also worked as Professor in the Vaccine and Infectious Disease, Clinical Research and Public Health Sciences Divisions at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, where he founded and directed one of the nation’s first and most effective outpatient infection control programs; he also founded and directed the first Global Oncology program at a designated comprehensive cancer center. At the University of Washington, he was appointed as a Professor of Medicine, Epidemiology and Global Health, and served as the Co-Director of the Center for AIDS Research. He has held several clinical positions, including serving as an attending physician for the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance’s Infectious Disease Consult Service.

Casper obtained an undergraduate degree in Biology from Wesleyan University, his M.D. from Cornell University Medical College, and a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Washington.
