Corey Taylor
Musician, Songwriter, Actor & Author; Lead Vocalist of Slipknot & Lead Vocalist, Guitarist, Lyricist of Stone Sour
Corey Taylor, known for his vocals in the bands Slipknot and Stone Sour, has been a key player in the rock and heavy metal music scene since the late 1990s. His involvement with Slipknot began in 1997, a collaboration that has since resulted in numerous albums. These include "Slipknot," which went double platinum, and "Iowa," a chart-topper on the UK Albums Chart. With Stone Sour, which he co-founded, Taylor has released albums such as "Stone Sour" and "Come What(ever) May," both of which garnered significant recognition. Taylor also embarked on a unique venture with the concept double album "House of Gold & Bones," augmenting the musical project with a four-part comic book series published by Dark Horse Comics.
Taylor has also made strides as a solo artist, releasing his debut studio album "CMFT" in 2020 and following up with "CMF2" in 2023. His solo work has been met with acclaim, with singles such as "Black Eyes Blue" and "Beyond" reaching number one on the US Mainstream Rock chart. Beyond his band and solo work, Taylor has collaborated extensively with various artists, contributing to tracks with Korn, Disturbed, Apocalyptica, and Tech N9ne, among others. This, combined with his vocal style's versatility, ranging from melodic singing to growling, screaming, shouting, and rapping, speaks to his adaptability as a musician.
Outside of music, Taylor has made appearances in film and television, including "Fear Clinic" and "Sharknado: The 4th Awakens," demonstrating his ability to entertain across mediums. He is also a published author, having written books such as "Seven Deadly Sins: Settling the Argument Between Born Bad and Damaged Good," "America 51: A Probe into the Realities That Are Hiding Inside 'The Greatest Country in the World,'" and "You're Making Me Hate You: A Cantakerous Look at the Common Misconception That Humans Have Any Common Sense Left."
