Corky Ballas  

Mark Alexander "Corky" Ballas, Sr. is a retired competitive ballroom dancer who holds several Latin dance championship titles.

In 1985, Goldin starred in the short-lived ABC sitcom, Hail to the Chief, playing the son of the first female President of the United States (played by Patty Duke). Also in 1985 Goldin appeared in Season 2 episode 27 "Final Approach" of Macgyver (TV Series) as Tommy a troubled youth in a gang. He also hosted a short-lived docu-dating show called Street Match in 1993, which aired on prime-time on ABC.

Goldin appeared in the made-for-TV movie entitled The Face in 1996 with Yasmine Bleeth. The film was also called A Face to Die For. Goldin also appeared in the made-for-TV movie entitled Talk to Me in 1996 with Yasmine Bleeth. He appeared in the movie Lambada and on Broadway as Danny Zuko in a revival of the musical Grease. He also appeared in one episode of ALF, acting as Danny (Linn's boyfriend). Ricky Paull Goldin also had a recurring role on the 1980s sitcom Kate and Allie as Allie's daughter Jenny's boyfriend, Jason.

Among other television roles, he is best known for his role as Gus Aitoro on the long-running soap opera Guiding Light. He portrayed the role from 2001 until his character was killed off on April 1, 2008 and has been nominated for two Daytime Emmy Awards for that role.

Prior to Guiding Light, Goldin was best known for portraying Dean Frame on the daytime drama Another World, a role he played from 1990 to 1993, from 1994 to 1995, and again briefly in 1998. He also appeared on the daytime drama The Young and the Restless in the role of stalker Gary Dawson (1999–2000).

Goldin has appeared in several promotions on behalf of Guiding Light. In 2005, fans voted Goldin and former co-star Beth Ehlers and their characters, Gus and Harley, as the top couple in "The Most Irresistible Combination" contest (which was partially sponsored by Procter & Gamble, the company that produces Guiding Light). Goldin appeared in a promotion for the product "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter", which was being promoted by Procter & Gamble.

It was announced on March 5, 2008 (a week after he announced he would be leaving the role of Gus on Guiding Light) that Goldin would be joining All My Children in the recast role of Dr. Joseph 'Jake' Martin. In 2010, he was nominated for his third Daytime Emmy Award, his first for his work on All My Children, in the Outstanding Supporting Actor category. In 2011, he was nominated again, this time in the Outstanding Lead Actor category for All My Children.
