María José de Pablo Fernández, better known as Cote de Pablo , is a Chilean-American actress and recording artist. De Pablo is best known for her role as federal agent Ziva David on the CBS crime drama "NCIS."

De Pablo's first big break was when she was the co-host of a Latin themed television talk show, "Control," with co-host Carlos Ponce. The next year, she made her Broadway debut in "The Mambo Kings," playing the role of Dolores Fuentes, but gained widespread recognition when she landed a starring role as Mossad Officer Ziva David on the CBS crime drama, "NCIS."

Her performance won de Pablo her first major award in 2006 when she was given the Imagen Award for Best Supporting Actress, and in 2008, de Pablo was nominated for the Alma Award for Outstanding Actress in a Drama Television Series and another Imagen Award for Best Supporting Actress.

De Pablo starred on "NCIS" from 2005 to 2013, and in 2019 announced that she would be reprising her role in the seventeenth season.
