Cristo Fernández is an actor, director, producer, and screenwriter born in the beautiful city of Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico.

He holds a degree in communications from the Universidad del Valle de Atemajac (UNIVA) in Guadalajara, Mexico, and has a Master's degree in Acting from the Guildford School of Acting at the University of Surrey in England, UK. Fernández speaks fluent Spanish, English, German, French, and Italian.

In 2017, he started his film company Espectro MX Films. Within this company he has released several films that have screened internationally in film festivals. His most recent film as a producer, writer, and actor is the feature film titled No Translation Required. His most successful film to date is Fuera de Serie, a project based on the real life story of Guillermo González Camarena, inventor of the color television. The film was winner of "Best Production and Best Short Film Direction" at the Premios Latino 2018 awards ceremony in Marbella, Spain. His film entitled Çdo Çast / Every Moment won the awards for “Best Film and Best Photography” at the Festival Internacional de Cine Ciudad Madero – FICCMA 2019. This film began as a “script project” selected by the Balkan's Gate International Film Festival, and was later filmed in the Korça region, on Lake Prespa in Albania.

Before becoming an actor, his professional career began as a soccer player. Since childhood Fernández was extremely passionate about sports but above all, football. After playing for years, quickly climbing the divisions in Mexico, his professional football career really took off when he played in the youth reserve teams for “1.FC Köln” & “S.C. West Köln” Cologne, Germany. He later returned home and played within numerous teams in Mexico, but most notably the division 1 Football Team “Tecos U.A.G.” from Guadalajara. He was then picked up by the reserve team of “San Antonio Scorpions F.C.” in the USA and played 1st division at the football club of “Guayama F.C.” in Puerto Rico as well.

As of 2020 he returned to his first love, playing Dani Rojas, a charismatic, good hearted, and talented footballer, on the Apple TV+ web television comedy series "Ted Lasso", starring Jason Sudeikis.

Fernández loves working internationally and learning from other cultures. Real life stories, that involve multicultural, bilingual and comedic elements, are his passion.
