As a magician, Cydney Kaplan keeps audience members engaged and entertained with her sleight of hand and quick wit. She will perform close-up magic right into the hands of her spectators, reading their minds and wowing them with impossible feats-like calling a stranger and having that person name the playing card that the audience just selected! Kaplan’s warmth, confidence, and sassy style puts any audience at ease, and her natural ability to connect with people gives her wide-ranging appeal. An audience can be made up of finance dorks, lawyers, salespeople, and CEOs—nobody can scare her off!

While Kaplan is an accomplished magician, her first love is working with differently abled people. At the age of seven, she taught herself the American Sign Language alphabet, thus laying the foundation for what has grown to be a lifelong passion and career. Kaplan is a Certified Recreation Therapist and is considered an expert in the field of cognitive brain fitness and neuroplasticity. She currently does presentations on Brain Fitness, and loves presenting to a wide-ranging audience. To accommodate the variety of audience demographics and venues, Kaplan can shape the length of time her talks last from five minutes up to 20 minutes. She is passionate about the importance of building and maintaining brain fitness-which is as important to our wellness as physical fitness-and loves speaking about this topic.

Kaplan has been awarded some the top honors in magic. Placing top three in the International Brotherhood of Magic (the worlds largest magic association) Close Up Magician of the Year in 2021. And also nominated as Close Up Magician of the Year by the Academy of Magical Arts in Hollywood, CA. Kaplan can keep your event moving along.
