Cynthia Erivo is an award-winning singer, songwriter and actor. She is known for her performance as Celie in the 2015 Broadway revival of The Color Purple, for which she won the 2016 Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical as well as the 2017 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album.

She plays the lead role in Harriet, the biographical film about the life of Harriet Tubman, the abolitionist who escaped slavery and led hundreds of enslaved people to freedom.

She has been singing since the tender age of five years old. A student of the dramatic arts, having graduated from the esteemed Royal Academy Of Dramatic Arts, Cynthia Erivo is a rare triple threat, as she can sing, act and dance.
