D Anthony Miles is a serial entrepreneur, award-winning researcher, award-winning professor, statistician, legal expert witness, business expert and best-selling author. Miles is a nationally known startup and marketing expert. He is also a forensic marketing expert. He has appeared in the national media for his expertise. He is CEO and Founder, of Miles Development Industries Corporation®, a consulting practice and venture capital acquisition firm. He is owner and executive producer of two nationally-syndicated radio shows: Game On Business Talk® Radio Show and Panel Talk With D. Anthony Miles®. He was a Visiting Professor. He has presented his research at conferences around the country. Most notably he has presented at Stanford University. He was invited to the Harvard Business School (HBS).
He has extensive experience with consulting startup ventures and marketing. He has extensive years of experience in retailing, merchandising and marketing, and financial services industry. He developed the business plan for Brooks AFB/City-Base, which was BRAC’d. He has extensive experience in statistics and data analytics in marketing. He is a member of the American Statistical Association (ASA), promoting the practice and profession of statistics.
Miles is a nationally-known business expert in the media. He has been featured on nationally syndicated media such as: ABC News, CBS News, Fox News, NBC News, CNN, Huffington Post, Forbes, Reader’s Digest, Bloomberg Radio, Blog Talk Radio, WGN Radio in Chicago, iHeart Radio, AM/FM Radio, and numerous others. He is also a legal expert witness that provides expert testimony on business scams, false advertising claims and trade dress. He provides expert testimony for local, state and federal cases; and both civil and criminal cases.
He is an author and researcher that is well published in numerous academic journals. He is a best-selling author of three books. His new latest book, “How To Get Away With Murder in Marketing: Forensic Marketing” is set to be another bestseller. He is a forensic marketing expert. His two previous books, “Risk Factors and Business Models” and “Entrepreneurship and Risk” were well received. He is an editorial board member with 12 academic journals.
He has appeared in four documentaries as a subject matter expert. He has appeared in documentaries on business, business failures, startups, marketing, and fraudulent business ventures. The documentaries will be featured on Netflix and Amazon Prime. He was a subject matter expert for an expose on multilevel marketing (MLM) for a Dallas television news show. He has two television shows in the works for a major television network.
Miles has won numerous awards for his applied statistics research in marketing and economics. He is a 20-time winner of the Academy of Business Research Conference’s (ABR) Award for Best Research Paper in Marketing and Economics. He won the 2010 Teaching Excellence Award from the Texas A&M University System Board of Regents, as one of the top 25% participating faculty in 11 universities in the A&M System. In 2009, he won a fellowship for his doctoral research on entrepreneurial risk patterns with the United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (USASBE) Doctoral Consortium, while completing his Ph.D. He was selected as one of 17 distinguished doctoral researchers nationwide in the field of Entrepreneurship.
