Daisy Fuentes is a Cuban-born American actress, model and VJ who began her career as a host in the Spanish-language show, MYV Internacional. The music show was aired both in the United States and Latin America. Because of her hosting skills, she was hired by MTV Studios and became one of the channels sought-after hosts.

After hosting, Daisy Fuentes made her mark in the world of acting. She first bagged a role in the long-running ABC drama Loving. She also made appearances on various shows such as Dream On, Cybill, and The Larry Sanders Show. In 1994, she had her own talk show, Daisy, aired on CNBC. She also became the host of Americas Funniest Home Videos, and as well presented special events such as The ALMA Awards, Dick Clarks New Years Rockin Eve, the 1998 World Music Awards and the 1999 Billboard Latin Awards. Daisy Fuentes also hosted competitions such as Miss USA, Miss Teen USA, and Miss Universe pageants. In 2000, she made a guest appearance in the TV series Queen of Swords.

Her other television credits include Fashionably Loud, MTVs House of Style, Talk All Stars, Eco Zone, and Ultimate Style. She also earned an Emmy award for Outstanding Achievement as a Host for her presentation of the Countdown to the Latin Grammys.

Because of her beauty and height, Daisy Fuentes didn't find it hard to become a model. She graced the cover of various magazines and was listed as one of People en Espaols 50 Most Beautiful Women. She also endorsed various products such as Revlon, Pantene, M&Ms and American Express. She was also the first Mind, Body, Spirit Superstar, and among her duties included promoting awareness towards women's health and well being.

In 2004, Fuentes released her first clothing line, which can be bought exclusively at Kohls Department Stores. Fuentes sells about $300 million worth of goods, including hair care, fragrances, clothing, sunglasses, and accessories each year.In 2009, she launched the first ever Pilates video game, Daisy Fuentes Pilates, which was built for Wii. She has also finished working on her book, entitled Unforgettable You.

Fuentes was co-presenter of La Voz Kids on Telemundo, the Spanish-language TV version of the show The Voice with kids and judges Paulina Rubio, Prince Royce, and Roberto Tapia. She also offered relationship advice on the "Matty's Dating Advice Corner" segment of Fantasy Focus podcast with Matthew Berry.

She has written a book, "Unforgettable You: Master the Elements of Style, Spirituality, and True Beauty," detailing her advice on elegance, etiquette, relationships, love, spirituality, sex and beauty and offering plenty of personal stories, observations and tips that she has learned from celebrities, experts and friends.

Fuentes is also an active philanthropist. She is a supporter of the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. She also helps raise money for breast cancer awareness and research, and is a spokesperson of various charities such as Starlight Children's Foundation and March of Dimes. In 2007, Daisy Fuentes took part for the Girls On the Run, a prevention program that helps preteen girls to build confidence and self-respect through practicing healthy lifestyles. She also became part of the Revlon/UCLA Women's Breast Cancer Research program.
