Dakota Smith is the co-founder and president at travel booking app and online travel marketplace Hopper, where he is responsible for product development, day-to-day operations, and sales and marketing efforts. Since launching the app, Hopper has grown its annual sales to approximately $6 billion of travel per year. Hopper is the mobile-only company that uses big data to predict future prices for flights and accommodations and empower travelers to make smart travel decisions. Under Smith's leadership, Hopper has become one of the fastest growing travel apps ever with over 260 million installs and 169 million trips planned on the app since its launch.

Prior to joining Hopper, Smith founded Traveler's Digest, an online travel company, at the age of 18. Smith moved to Hong Kong to start the company, and grew it to over 1 million monthly unique visitors and signed several of Asia's largest hospitality brands as clients.

Smith serves on the a board of carbon removal company Deep Sky.
