Grammy Award-Winning Singer-Songwriter & Producer Known for Being a Member of The Black Keys

Dan Auerbach, a renowned musician, singer-songwriter, and record producer, is primarily recognized for his work as the guitarist and vocalist of the blues rock band, The Black Keys. Alongside his bandmate, drummer Patrick Carney, Auerbach has recorded and co-produced twelve studio albums and won five Grammy Awards. Auerbach has also released two solo albums, "Keep It Hid" and "Waiting on a Song," and has initiated a side project, The Arcs, releasing the albums "Yours, Dreamily" and "Electrophonic Chronic."

Auerbach is the proprietor of Easy Eye Sound recording studio in Nashville, TN, as well as a record label of the same name. He has produced records by artists such as Cage the Elephant, Dr. John, Lana Del Rey, Ray LaMontagne, CeeLo Green, Hank Williams, Jr. and The Pretenders. Auerbach received the 2013 Grammy Award for Producer of the Year, Non-Classical and has been nominated for the same award three additional times.

Born in Ohio, Auerbach's musical roots can be traced back to his family. His passion for blues was ignited after listening to his father's old vinyl records during his childhood. He pursued this passion by dropping out of college to focus on guitar. Auerbach's playing style -- a fusion of blues, rock, and garage rock -- reflects his major influences, including Robert Johnson, R.L. Burnside, Clarence White, Robert Nighthawk, T-Model Ford, Hound Dog Taylor, Mississippi Fred McDowell, Kokomo Arnold, Son House, and RZA of the Wu-Tang Clan.
