Dan Bane says he has "the best job in America". He came to Trader Joe’s in 2001, as the president of Trader Joe’s West, and later that year was appointed CEO. Throughout his career, he has worked for various accounting firms in southern California, specializing his practice on the retail industry and law firms. He graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in Accounting. Throughout the year, Dan Bane visits each of the Trader Joe’s stores three to four times a year, where he will bag groceries, greet customers or talk to customers about what they like or don’t like that day in Trader Joe’s.
