Dan Holdridge

9/11 Pentagon Survivor, CEO of Eagle Industries, Author

Dan Holdridge is a 9/11 Pentagon survivor who, on that fateful day, was mere feet away from a location where everyone was tragically killed. He attributes his survival to a greater purpose and has since dedicated his life to honoring the 184 heroes lost during the attack.

Holdridge's personal mission is not only to memorialize those who perished but also to spread a message of life appreciation through gratitude, respect, and the understanding of others. His key presentations, including "Walk In Each Other's Shoes" and "Weapons of Mass Appreciation," focus on overcoming adversity and aligning personal identity with service to others. He leverages a unique concept known as the Purpose Conduit™ in his talks, which helps individuals find their true purpose by fostering an appreciation for life and service to others.

Previously, in April 2001, Holdridge held the position of one of the youngest Program Directors at General Dynamics Corporation in Needham, Massachusetts, where he managed computer engineering operations. He was at the Pentagon supporting the construction of a newly renovated section when the attack occurred. After recovering from his injuries, Holdridge turned his focus towards sharing his narratives to help others find strength and resilience in their lives.

Today, Dan serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Eagle Industries Incorporated, managing all aspects of the electrical engineering and manufacturing corporation and maintaining its profitability. He holds a Master’s Degree of Executive Master of Science in Engineering Management from the University of New Haven, after graduating from the University of Connecticut in 1995. His commitment to community and leadership extends to his role as a Vice Chairman of the New London County 4-H Foundation and his past service as a Trustee of the National 4-H Leadership Trust.

In his book "Surviving September 11," and through his presentations like "Ninety Minutes of Distinction," Holdridge shares profound personal stories and lessons learned from the 9/11 attacks, emphasizing the unpredictability of life and the importance of acting on our values promptly. His advocacy for understanding cultural differences as a means to combat terrorism mirrors his broader message of respect and appreciation.

Dan Holdridge remains a prominent member of the National Speakers Association, traveling from Rhode Island to share his inspiring journey and the critical insights gained from his experiences on 9/11. His ongoing efforts to teach and inspire embody his dedication to transforming personal tragedy into a lasting, positive impact on others.
