Dan Mullen

Head Football Coach of Florida Gators

Dan Mullen is a collegiate football coach who currently serves as head coach at the University of Florida. Prior to his time as a coach, Mullen was a tight end for two seasons at Ursinus College, graduating in 1994 with a degree in Exercise and Sports Science. After serving as a graduate assistant at Wagner College, Columbia, Syracuse, and Notre Dame, Mullen was hired as QB coach at Bowling Green University in 2001, leaving there in 2002 to join head coach Urban Meyer at Utah. For two seasons at Utah, Mullen coached the quarterbacks, and was instrumental in the Utes undefeated 2004 season. When Meyer took the head coaching job at the University of Florida, he took Mullen with him to be his offensive coordinator, where Mullen coached Heisman Trophy Winner Tim Tebow and helped the Gators win two national championships in four seasons. Due to his success as assistant coach, Mullen was considered one of the top head coaching candidates, eventually winding up as head coach at Mississippi State University in 2009. In nine seasons with the Bulldogs, he went 69-44, including a 5-2 record in bowl games. MSU was ranked number one in the country for the first time in school history in 2014 and finished inside the top 25 three times during Mullen's tenure.
