Healing from your Trauma

The Grieving Process, Why is it so important to seek therapy after trauma has occurred?

  • Human growth
  • Understanding Psychological Safety
  • How the Brain tries to protect us
  • Negative outcomes from failing to seek out therapy/counseling, how this affects your life and future
  • Positive examples of healing and the journey

In my book, I am very raw and transparent, and I speak similarly, on the topic of healing from our trauma. Mine specifically is from the loss of my entire immediate family, mother, father, and my brother, before graduating college, to cancer. Only after accepting my fate of being orphaned could I start to heal and learn how to avoid self-sabotaging my life for good. Instead of hiding from potential problems, I vowed to heal through years of therapy, learning I am worthy of love and can have a partner in life, be a partner to others, love and raise a child without the fear of dying on said child. Only through therapy can we overcome our trauma and live the kind of fulfilling, meaningful life we all deserve."

Why Seeking Therapy after Trauma is so Important to Human Development

Self-Sabotage, when we are traumatized by something in our lives, sometimes seeking the help we need to heal and move forward is challenging to find, let alone self identify the need. I break down the various forms of trauma, from obvious to less so, and discuss the importance of therapy and healing.

I share detailed and transparent examples from my own healing journey, having lost my entire family, orphaning me before graduating college. The goal is to help people of all backgrounds break free of the stigmas and stereotypes associated with therapy be it cultural barriers or mental ones, and get people talking about what's really broken.
