Daniel Farber Huang            

Cybersecurity Advisor, Managing Director of The EchoStream Group; Journalist & Documentary Photographer; Co-Founder of The Power of Faces

Daniel Farber Huang is a strategic consultant and advisor on cyber security and other risk mitigation issues. He has worked closely with numerous federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies across the U.S. to provide solutions to their mobile technology requirements. Farber Huang has provided hardware and software solutions to federal field agents, the police, and other authorities to support them in fulfilling their duties. He currently serves as the managing director of The EchoStream Group.

Farber Huang is a journalist and documentary photographer focused on women’s and children’s issues and the alleviation of poverty around the world. Farber Huang is a co-founder of The Power of Faces, a major portrait project raising awareness of the global refugee crisis. As an independent humanitarian advocate, Farber Huang has documented refugee camps around the world and has actively raised awareness through multiple TEDx Talks and other platforms. His documentary work has been exhibited at Amnesty International, the Middle East Institute, and numerous universities and colleges. His work is included in the permanent collections of The International Center of Photography, The Museum of the City of New York, New-York Historical Society, Museum of Chinese in the Americas, New York City Fire Museum and other institutions.

Farber Huang is a National Fellow of The Explorers Club, a professional society dedicated to the advancement of field research and exploration. He is an Advisor to Princeton University’s Keller Center for Innovation in Engineering Education, where he advises startups on best practices and risk avoidance. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees for ECRI, one of the largest healthcare quality and safety entities in the world.

Before founding his own independent advisory firm, Farber Huang worked for major investment banks advising a corporations and investors on domestic and international corporate finance transactions.

Farber Huang earned his Master’s degree (A.L.M.) in Journalism and a Certificate in International Security from Harvard University, an M.B.A. from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania in Finance and Entrepreneurial Management, and a B.A. from New York University in Economics.
