Daniel Mentz  

Daniel Mentz is a German-American Actor and Writer.

Daniel Mentz (born Atif Daniel Mentz) was raised in Roedermark near Frankfurt am Main in Germany. Daniel developed his love for the stage through dancing Rock 'n Roll for ten years.

He started when he was 6 years old and was at one time awarded "Best Dancer" of his state: Hessen.

He became an Actor after he saw his first James Bond movie in theatres (GoldenEye).

Daniel graduated High School and went on to get his German college degree (Abitur), majoring in English, Politics and Economics.

He started shooting short films with his friends at an early age and continued to write, direct and act in films throughout high school and college.

After graduating, he worked in his father's Import/Export company until he was drafted for the mandatory military service. He chose the substitute community service instead, applied and got accepted at a local emergency medical service (EMS).

During his 9 months of working there, Daniel came to visit Los Angeles to audition for Acting schools and got accepted right away. He finished his remaining months at the EMS and started studying in Los Angeles, February 2009. He has continued his studies and is now working frequently in commercials and movies.

Daniel has starred in many independent productions with recent bookings being the dark drama "Children of Sorrow" (directed by Jourdan McClure) and an international commercial for the Apple iPhone 4S (directed by Mark Romanek).
