An actor, director, writer, teacher, fundraiser, and political and social activist, Daniel Stern has been speaking to audiences for nearly 30 years. Show business-wise, Stern has made people laugh in numerous films over the years including Very Bad Things, Home Alone and Home Alone II, the City Slickers movies, Hannah and Her Sisters, Diner, and Breaking Away. He narrated and directed the television show The Wonder Years, wrote and starred in the CBS comedy Danny, and directed and starred in the fantasy-baseball movie Rookie of the Year.

In the theater, Stern has acted on many New York stages. His first play, "Barbara's Wedding," was produced at the Westside Theater by the Manhattan Theater Club.

Outside of his acting career, he teaches media literacy to high school students in California, serves on the board of directors of The Creative Coalition and the board of advisors for NORML, and along with his wife of 25 years, established a Boys and Girls Club in Malibu that serves over 600 children in after-school programs. In 2003, he went to Iraq to visit the troops fighting there. He also spends his time tending to his cattle ranch, sculpting metal and papier-mâché, and goofing off as much as possible.
