Television Actress and Model; Known for "Friday Night Lights"

American actress Daniella Alonso was born on September 22, 1978 in New York City. This animal-lover was born from a Puerto Rican mother and a father who was from Peru, with Japanese origins. Before she got into acting, she participated in karate and earned a fourth-level green belt. Aside from that, she worked at Ford Models and eventually worked on her career in the entertainment industry.

In 1997, Daniella Alonso had a small role in the film Academy Boyz. She took a break from acting for a while and returned with a guest appearance in Law & Order: Criminal Intent in 2001. That same year, she was cast in the movie Black Night.

She then got cast as Pilar Domingo on the daytime drama As the World Turns and later appeared on several episodes of the series One Tree Hill as Anna Taggaro. In 2006, Alonso got a role on CSI:NY and went on to star in several films. After One Tree Hill Alonso appeared in several films and television programs including; The Last Romantic, All You’ve Got, The Hills Have Eyes 2, CSI: Miami and Saving Grace.

From 2007 to 2008, Alonso became known for portraying Carlotta Alonso on the cult and critical favorite series Friday Night Lights. She followed this up with more TV roles, such as those on CSI, Without a Trace and Stargate Atlantis.

In 2012, Alonso appeared on TNT’s Rizzoli & Isles and Covert Affairs before joining the cast of the NBC series Revolution as Nora. Revolution was a hit for NBC drawing large numbers in its first season.

Alonso starred in the first season of another NBC series The Night Shift as Dr. Landry de la Cruz.
