Danielle Hughes is the Cofounder of Detroit Speaks, a Detroit, MI-based nonprofit that works with low income teens across the public school system. The nonprofit's goal is to help teens find their passion through community involvement and help them build a foundation for personal and professional success.

Hughes is a Detroit native and felt motivated to start Detroit Speaks after spending her time mentoring children in Atlanta, Georgia. The organization consists of after-school programs, community clean-ups and a three-month "Emerging Leaders" accelerator course that matches students with local entrepreneurs and professionals for 1:1 mentoring.

She was recognized as a Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree for education for her work with Detroit Speaks.

Hughes is a graduate of Georgia State University.
