Danny Pudi is an actor and director, perhaps most notably recognized for his role as Abed Nadir on NBC's "Community." He joined the cast of "Community" in 2009, embodying the quirky and pop-culture-obsessed film student Abed Nadir. His enactment was met with critical acclaim, and it earned him three nominations for the Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series and one nomination for the TCA Award for Individual Achievement in Comedy.

Outside of his work on "Community," Pudi also lent his voice to the character of Huey Duck in the animated series "DuckTales." He has demonstrated his acting versatility by appearing in various television shows and films, including "Captain America: The Winter Soldier," "Star Trek Beyond," and making cameo appearances in commercials for products such as Snickers, Verizon, McDonald's, T-Mobile, and Far Cry 4. Currently, Pudi stars as Brad Bakshi in the Apple TV+ comedy series "Mythic Quest," a role he has held since 2020.

More recently, Pudi can be seen as The Mechanist in Netflix's live-action adaptation of "Avatar: The Last Airbender." It was also announced in 2024 that "Community" would be making it to the big screen and that Pudi would also be featured in the "Golden Axe" animated series. In addition to his acting, Pudi has exhibited his skills in writing, directing, and producing, notably through his documentary short, "30 for 30 Shorts." He has also ventured into the world of video games, providing his voice for Professor George Herbert Doyle IV in Hearthstone.

Pudi completed his education at Marquette University, graduating with a degree in Communication and Theatre. Notably, he was the first winner of the Chris Farley Scholarship at the university. Before moving to Los Angeles in 2005 to pursue television and film roles, Pudi began his professional journey as a recruiter for an executive search firm. Off-screen, Pudi is a dedicated runner and has completed several marathons.
