Actress Darby Stanchfield currently stars on ABC’s hit drama SCANDAL as Abby Whelan. SCANDAL was ABC’s #1 rated drama of the 2014-2015 seaon, averaging over 9 million veiwers per week. Darby’s character Abby is a “Gladiator” and a fan favorite known for her sassy & judgemental ways. She is previously best known for her recurring roles as April Green on CBS’s JERICHO and as Helen Bishop on the period drama MAD MEN.

Darby has also had high profile guest starring roles in popular series including : CASTLE, CSI MIAMI, COLD CASE, HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, THE MENTALIST, PRIVATE PRACTICE, NIP/TUCK & BONES.Her next films MEDICINE MEN & CARNAGE PARK are planned for early 2016 releases.

Darby was born and raised in Kodiak, Alaska. Her father was a commercial crab fisherman. The family later moved to Dutch Harbor in the Aleutian Islands, and finally Mercer Island, near Seattle. She later received her MFA at the American Conservatory.
