Singing Ventriloquist; Winner of "America's Got Talent" Season 12

Darci Lynne Farmer is a self-taught ventriloquist, comedian, and singer from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She is the winner of season twelve of the NBC competition show America's Got Talent.

Farmer became the third female and child act to win America’s Got Talent in its first 12 seasons, following Bianca Ryan in season one and Grace VanderWaal in season eleven. She is also the third ventriloquist to win, following Terry Fator (season two) and Paul Zerdin (season ten).

Farmer was inspired to pick up ventriloquism at the International Cinderella Scholarship Pagent Program, where she was crowned International Mini Miss, by the International Teen titleholder, Laryssa Bonacquisti.

In 2014 she entered Edmond's Got Talent where she won first prize. Since then she has worked with ventriloquy coach Gary Owen and vocal teacher Tiana Plemons. In 2016, Farmer made an appearance on Little Big Shots (U.S.). Then in early 2017, she competed on Little Big Shots UK (both on episode 4 of season 1 of those series).

Farmer auditioned for the twelfth season of America's Got Talent in 2017. Her audition consisted of singing George Gershwin's "Summertime" in ventriloquism through her rabbit puppet, Petunia. Moved by her performance, Mel B pressed her Golden Buzzer to send Farmer straight to the Quarterfinals.

For the finale, Farmer sang "Anything You Can Do" from Annie Get Your Gun through her puppet Petunia with Terry Fator through his puppet Winston. She received enough votes to advance to the top 5 instead of Preacher Lawson. She was announced as the winner of Season 12 winning $1 million and a headline gig at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, set for November 2017.
