Darren Sands is a political reporter for Buzzfeed News. In particular, he covers the 2020 race and the future of the Democratic Party.

Prior to working for Buzzfeed, Sands was the Sports Business Editor at Black Enterprise. He also previously worked as a Reporting Fellow at the Village Voice and as a correspondent for the Boston Globe covering breaking news and local feature stories.

Sands graduated from Hofstra University in 2006 with a degree in journalism.
