Daryl Travis

Brand Power Expert, Author: Emotional Branding

Daryl Travis is the CEO of Brandtrust, a highly regarded Chicago based corps of brand consultants. He was one of the founders of Two Way communications an Internet development company, which was sold to IXL Communications and today is one of the largest internet development firms in the country.

For nearly 30 years he has been involved in building and leveraging brands. Among others, Daryl helped FedEx get off to a flying start and led the revival of Nipper, the RCA dog, as a brand icon. He was also instrumental in the highly successful Monogram and Profile brands of GE appliances and leveraged “Second-Hand and Smoke” as a brand on behalf of the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention.

His recent book is titled Emotional Branding - How Successful Brands Gain the Irrational Edge. It’s about how the positive emotional connections created through your brand are how the positive emotional connections created through your brand are how you insure success and build value in your business.

Here’s what Tom Peters, author of In Search for Excellence, has to say about Emotional Branding: “Today’s insane marketplace confusion can only be sorted out one way in the long run: by brand power. Daryl Travis’ Emotional Branding is a book that sings, a book to savor and ponder. And, if approached in the right spirit, a book to change your worldview - and renovate your bottom-line. Hint: It’s for finance and human resources folks as much as for marketers, as much as for marketers, as much for three-person architects’ studios as for Virgin or GE execs.”
