Daughtry is an American rock band from North Carolina, formed and fronted by former "American Idol" season 5 finalist Chris Daughtry in 2006.

Their self-titled debut album was released in 2006. The album reached No. 1 for two non-consecutive weeks on the Billboard Top 200, sold more than 4 million copies and was named the No. 1 selling album of 2007 by Billboard. Their album is also the fastest-selling debut rock album in Soundscan history and was certified as 4x Platinum on April 24, 2008.

The first single from the album, "It's Not Over," was the eighth most played song across all formats on U.S. radio in 2007, and their second single from the album, "Home," was the tenth most played song in the U.S. of 2007.

The band's second album, Leave This Town, was released on July 14, 2009. The first single, "No Surprise," debuted at No. 15 on the Billboard Hot 100 the chart week of May 23, 2009. “Leave This Town” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 selling 269,000 copies in its first week. The record was also No. 1 on the Digital Albums Chart and the Rock Chart. The band's third album, Break the Spell, was released on November 21, 2011. It debuted at No. 8 on the Billboard Top 200 on November 28, 2011 with 129,000 copies sold. The band's fourth album, Baptized was released in 2013.

In 2018, the band released it's long-awaited fifth album, "Cage to Rattle."
