Dave Strong is a Partner and COO/CFO of IDEO. Based in Palo Alto, Dave provides operational leadership by working with leaders across all of the firm’s offices and disciplines. His primary focus is to enable IDEO to be financially healthy firm while maintaining its exceptional design-oriented culture. Dave has enjoyed working at the intersection of design and business for the past fifteen years.

In addition to supporting the growth and well-being of IDEO’s consulting business, Dave is engaged in various investment and entrepreneurial activities of the firm, including IDEO Ventures, and he sits on the boards of two IDEO founded companies, CleanWell and ShopWell.

Prior to joining IDEO in 1998, Dave worked with Steelcase in various roles within corporate strategy and finance. He holds an MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.
