David A.R. White

Christian Actor & Producer, Known for Starring in "God’s Not Dead", Founder of Pure Flix

David A.R. White is a storyteller by nature. And while he tells many stories through his acting, producing and filmmaking, a greater one encompasses them all: the calling of God on each of our lives. David has been building his career in the film industry for more than 20 years, and in doing so he has learned a few things about following a God-given dream.

As a founding partner of Pure Flix Entertainment and with many credits to his name, David's career hit new heights in 2014 with the release of the Pure Flix film God's Not Dead, in which he also starred. It soon became one of the most successful independent faith-based films of all time, making his studio, Pure Flix, the most successful Christian film production company in the industry.

David was raised in a small Mennonite farming town outside of Dodge City, Kansas. At the age of 19, he moved to Los Angeles to begin what would quickly become a successful career as an actor, writer, director and producer. Since then, he has starred in nearly 20 feature-length films, including God's Not Dead, God's Not Dead 2, Mercy Streets, Hidden Secrets, Jerusalem Countdown, Me Again, Brother White, Revelation Road 1 & 2, 3, and many others.

David's next film, the highly anticipated third installment of God's Not Dead: A Light in Darkness, will be in theaters March 2018. David stars in the Pureflix.com sitcom Hitting the Breaks, which features special guests like Rob Schneider, Tim Tebow, and Morgan Fairchild. In January 2018, Pureflix.com will release the sitcom Malibu Dan the Family Man that stars David along with Kelly Stables (The Exes) and Robin Givens (Riverdale).

David's first book, Between Heaven and Hollywood: Chasing Your God-Given Dreams gives audiences a more complete, wide-reaching picture of how God has worked through his life in his pursuit of filmmaking and acting. For David, the dreams God gives a person are the highest callings one can receive, and in the book, he explores how following the Lord and your dreams simultaneously is not only possible but can be a powerful agent for furthering the Kingdom.

When he's not producing films or writing, David is sharing his message of encouragement, inspiration, and humor at conferences, faith and film panels, and churches around the country. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Andrea and their three children.

Speech Topics

MAN UP

The role of successful Husband and Father may very well be the toughest task any man attempts to complete. "Those guys on the Discovery Channel's Dirty Jobs? Amateurs!", cries David White when speaking to thousands of husbands and dads around the country. "Albert Einstein, arguably the smartest man of our time was divorced. Twice! Stephen Hawking is recently quoted as saying the greatest mystery of the universe is women. So when you stand at the altar and are asked if you promise to love and cherish, what they really should be asking you is, 'Do you think you're smarter than Einstein and Hawking?'"

David further believes the Lord intentionally created these jobs to have such a high learning curve so that a man's ego wouldn't be able to convince him to try and go it alone. Only by placing Christ at the center of your marriage can you achieve success and David walks husbands and fathers (currents and wannabe's) through the paces.

Make no mistake, David does not promise a quick and easy seminar explaining the mystery of the female mind to men. After all, David is a Christian who worships God, but doesn't pretend to be one.

CHRISTIAN FILMS UP CLOSE: HOW LIGHT THROUGH THE LENS BECOMES A LIGHT TO THE SOUL

David shares on a life of faith in film, ‘movies that matter’. This keynote speaks on the process and the inspiration of bringing a movie from script to screen. We know that as believers we must die to self, but how do we do that in an industry that is obsessed with self-promotion. How do we reveal Christ to an audience seeing ‘us’ and, the necessity of ‘faith’ as the ‘feature’ of films? David also expounds on the fleeting nature of entertainment versus the eternal message of salvation.

PRODIGAL

A 30-90 minute, one man comedy show. The show is a multi media show about David’s coming to Hollywood at the age of 19. The challenges, the incredible stories, the laughs, pains and the faithfulness of God and of course God’s Not Dead!

THE COURAGE TO DREAM BIG - FOLLOWING GOD'S LEADING TO CHANGE THE WORLD

David speaks on encouraging others to follow the dreams that God has put in their heart. In this keynote, David defines “calling versus craving” and how to make sure the longing of our heart is actually the leading/vision of God’s Spirit. Using Biblical principles such as Moses, Joseph and Peter, David answers the question: “How do the dreams God puts in our hearts become reality?”
