David Alpert is founder and editor-in-chief of Greater Greater Washington and Greater Greater Education, news and opinion websites about transportation and urban planning and about education, respectively, in Washington, DC. The websites publish a combined 20 to 30 articles each week written by over 100 volunteer contributors. Alpert also writes monthly op-eds for the Washington Post. Previously, Alpert worked as a product manager at Google for six years and lived in the Boston, San Francisco, and New York metro areas before settling in Washington.
