David Binder is Tony Award winning producer.

DAVID BINDER is a Tony Award winning producer whose credits include Broadway, Off Broadway, festivals and special events. This year, David produced Hedwig and the Angry Inch, starring Neil Patrick Harris and Of Mice and Men, starring James Franco and Chris O’Dowd. Hedwig won four Tony Awards including Best Revival. Mice became the first Broadway show to be filmed by the National Theatre of Great Britain’s NT Live and shown in cinemas around the world. Other Broadway credits include the Tony Award winning first Broadway revival of A Raisin in the Sun starring Sean Combs, Audra McDonald and Phylicia Rashad and 33 Variations starring Jane Fonda. Off Broadway, David produced the original production of Hedwig, as well as the Argentine genre-defying shows De La Guarda and Fuerza Bruta. International credits include This Is Our Youth with Michael Cera and Kieran Culkin at the Sydney Opera House. David produced The High Line Festival curated by David Bowie, which featured performances by Laurie Anderson, Ricky Gervais and Arcade Fire, and the Dutch New Island Festival on Governors Island, ten days of performance, music, theatre and dance from the Netherlands. In 2011, he produced Short Ride in a Fast Machine, IBM’s Centennial Celebration at Lincoln Center. David has been a teaching fellow at Princeton University, and for the last six years was on the faculty at the Yale School of Drama. His TED talk on “The Arts Festival Revolution” has been seen online by more than a half million people.
