Television Writer & Producer; Best Known for Co-Creating "Friends"

David Crane is an American writer and producer. He is best known as one of the co-creators of the television sitcoms "Friends" and "Episodes."

Crane co-created "Friends" with Marta Kauffman in 1994. He served as an executive producer on the show for its entire run and co-wrote several episodes with Kauffman.

Crane is primarily known for his work on comedic TV shows. He often works with his husband and together they created the ensemble sitcom "The Class" and American-British comedy series "Episodes." "Episodes" starred Matt LeBlanc, who also starred in "Friends."
