David Goodman is the New York Times bestselling author of a dozen books, including several co-authored with Amy Goodman, host of the news show Democracy Now!. His works such as "Democracy Now! Twenty Years Covering the Movements Changing America," "The Exception to the Rulers: Exposing Oily Politicians, War Profiteers, and the Media That Love Them," "Static: Government Liars, Media Cheerleaders, and the People Who Fight Back," and "Standing Up to the Madness: Ordinary Heroes in Extraordinary Times" have achieved notable recognition. Additionally, his book "Fault Lines: Journeys into the New South Africa" has been widely praised, including by Archbishop Desmond Tutu.

Goodman’s multifaceted career includes hosting the public affairs radio show and podcast, The Vermont Conversation, and contributing as a journalist for national publications like Mother Jones, where his articles contributed to a National Magazine Award for General Excellence. His reporting, which spans topics from politics to environmental issues, has been featured in prominent outlets such as The New York Times, The Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Boston Globe, and on national broadcasts like PBS NewsHour and NPR’s "Fresh Air."
