David Najjab is Director of State Government Affairs at the Entertainment Software Association (ESA), the professional association for the video game industry. At ESA, Najjab advocates with state governments on policies that affect the video game industry.

Najjab has worked in, and with, the video game industry for over two decades, starting in academia where he started some of the first video game degree programs, including those at University of Texas at Dallas and Southern Methodist University’s Guildhall. Prior to ESA, he was Director of Institutional Partnerships at Gearbox Software.

He holds a BA from the University of Texas at Dallas and an MFA from Bard College in New York.
