David Perpich  

President and General Manager, The Wirecutter

David Perpich was named president and general manager of The Wirecutter in 2017. In this role, he leads all aspects of the business and editorial operations of the product-recommendation site, which was acquired by the Times Company in October 2016. Perpich served as senior vice president of product for The New York Times since 2015, where he was responsible for overseeing the company’s digital product portfolio. Prior to that, he served as general manager for new digital products, vice president of product management and executive editor of NYTimes.com paid products. Perpich came to The New York Times from the management consulting firm Booz & Company, where he was a member of its consumer, media and digital industries practice, focusing on growth strategy. He received a BA in economics from Duke University and an MBA from Harvard University.
